uh, wow.
Hahaha, ok ok. I take that back, I automatically assumed it was an ecotec. Aside from my big mistake, this motor comes with pretty impressive numbers in stock form and is easily attainable and after market is aplenty. With function>form/brand in mind, I still don't see where this swap has gone bad. The decently potent motor has a better home.

I agree, you can boost any b-series, or buy a b18c5/k20/h22/b20vtec. All of those choices would also be cheap given that you buy the usdm motors but I just want to point out that this engine isn't a horrible option.
It's ~3k for the engine which could get 300hp/300tq with almost no effort. Can you say that for any of the honda engines? You find people pouring out ~5k out of their pockets all day long for imported k20's, so I think that this says a lot.
Take note that I had absolutely no prior knowledge of SRT-4's before this thread except for their stock numbers, and a simple google search and forum lurking provided me with all that information. Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending chrysler or those loud and obnoxious turbo neons that fly by my street. I just don't think this swap is ultimately useless like everyone can so easily say.

There's no doubt in my mind that the SRT-4 motor is strong and very potent. However you can't forget the amount of money and R&D they dumped just getting the thing into the car. It wasn't simply "~3k for the engine". They could've saved a significant of time and money doing an FI B/H/K swap and be putting out the same/more power.
This isn't to say that the swap isn't new and innovative; I have respect for ingenuity wherever it may arise. However I believe this swap was completely unnecessary given the plethora of already proven power solutions out there for the civic.
