UPDATE Mercedes Museum
A week or so ago I had a chance to visit Mercedes Museum in Stuttgart. I must tell you that it's the best designed, well-thought and most impressive place I've seen. Monumental. The building itself is some sort of DNA-spiral-inspired inside with two corridors going down leading to different exibitions. You park your car in the underground parking lot and already there's a surprice waiting. Than you go up with a neat elevator and start looking at how it all started - a horse, an engine, Benz Patent Wagens and such. Going down the corridor you're looking at displays showing what happened in world history - something like the time-journey underlined by most important history events (not only automotive). Than you go lower and lower exploring Mercedes history floor by floor, car by car. Awesome stuff. Here's some pics:

Parking lot

One of the first Benz Wagens

The one on the right is the oldest car under Mercedes brand still in existance

the oldest Mercedes

The world's coolest truck - I've never seen it before

This truck could go 180 km/h (110 mph) carrying a racing car - insane
Gotta go - will add more later

I had a trip booked last yr for there, the porsche factory, and oktoberfest, but some family medical issues came up so I couldnt make it.
Anyway great shots. Cant wait to get there one day.
