Video of S2000 CR on track
Why would anyone want to spend that kind of money and not have a radio or AC? You can easily mod a standard S2K to outperform the CR edition anyday of the week and not even get rid of your AC, convertible top, or radio.

Wow, it's even uglier in motion than it is when it's sitting still.
Different color paints do appear to help the looks, but I still think the whole thing is ridiculous. S2kI members have done much better jobs that if manufactured by Honda could be cheaper than a 'standard' S2000 (after the top, A/C, stereo, etc are removed).
I just don't get it. Who's their target audience? People who want a car like that are going to MAKE a car like that. Not buy one off the shelf.

you can say the same for the type-R, its just a civic/integra with something remove and something added. you can do it in your garage if you chose to, but that is not the point.
it's not for everyone and honda knows it be removing the a/c, i don't have a team of market researcher so i can't say who and why they are buying it.
i'll reserve judgement until i drive one myself.
