Default Vinyl Wrapped my S2K

Hey guys, just finished up wrapping my S2k in 3M Matte Metallic Blue & Matte Black and wanted to share. I purchased the vinyl from Auto Vinyl Solutions and received excellent customer service and tips from Tommy.

I wanted to prove to myself that one person can accomplish this task with no assistance like the pro's. I watched a lot of YouTube videos and helped a good friend wrap his front bumper before I finally committed to getting this done.

Let's just say that wrapping an S on your own takes an astounding amount of patience, especially on the bumpers. Many times during the wrap it will test you and you'll get to a point when you just want to give up, but like i said before a lot of patience and persistence to get it done will get you through it.

Every panel came apart for the wrap and let me tell you our door handles are one of the worst things I've ever taken apart on this car, mind you that I was an ASE certified Tech for over 10 years and have built my car from the ground up on my own.

On to the pics... Enjoy

Before the wrap

After...

Thanks for looking />/>

Looks great! You said you wrapped it. How much have you worked with vinyl previous to this? How long did it take, and would you say it was significantly cheaper than paint? I assume the body was clean (no dents or major paint issues) prior to wrap.

Looks great, reminds me somewhat of Apex Blue. I can only imagine the PITA that job was to do.

Close to no experience other than helping my friend with his bumper, did watch hours worth of Youtube vids though. Much cheaper than paint, reversible, protects your OEM paint and doesn't lower the resale value. Body has to be spotless, dents and chips will show through and every nook and cranny has to be extremely clean. TY
