All my hardtop creaking went away when I started applying lithium/shin-etsu grease to the windshield header gasket before installing the hardtop every winter.

Just run a nice bead across it and rub it in... no more noises. Just remember to clean it all off when you remove the hardtop in the summer or else with will get nasty as dirt adheres to it.

Thanks I will try this too.

I need to get the 02'+ strikers asap. my latches don't latch very much at all, especially the pass. side. I will get the oem hardware soon after that as well.

Less than $2000, including the lexan window and homemade hardware.(aluminum brackets)
and after some serious rain last night I can say it doesn't leak either.
It does creak and make some noise going over bumps and stuff, but thats expected I guess.
would like to know more detail about homemade hardware , i have a hardtime finding hardware for my hardtop

Heres some pics of the hardware, bolts to the HT and then bolts to existing bolt on car (not shown, didn't feel like taking off the panels)
you get the idea.

S~Factor: yea the creaking/noise sucks, but I've heard all the CF/FRP HTs do this a little, even the oem one too I think.

Thanks man, I can't wait.
