Default what happens when offset is wrong?

hi, im new to this forum and new to s2000's.. im buying one this week and want to buy some rims for it. ive noticed alot of talk about the different offsets and the wheels not fitting. could someone please post a few pics of a poorly fitting rim. i want to buy some +43 offset rims but aside from talk i would like to see the effects of it. thanks

I have 4 - 16" X 7" wheels, 44mm offset for my winter tires. Here is a side by side photo of my car (on the right) and another S (Sebring Silver on the left) that has the stock wheels. See for yourself.

^ as you can see, the wrong offsets not only make your S completely filthy, they make any nearby S2000s equally filthy.

it depends on what width of the wheel you want...
and how big of the tire you wanna use..

thanks for the pics. it doesnt look all that bad. kinda looks like spacers were added for a wider stance. i kinda like that look. i wanted to run 18 inch and lower it about an inch

No spacers were used. That's the way they naturally sit. If you lower the car an inch, you may rub, especially in the front if you hit a bump during a turn.
