Here is the car I learned to slide in. I don't think straight trailing arm suspension was really ment to slide under control.

My first car was a black 1982 Pontiac Trans Am SE.
I have never seen another one like the one I had. I wish I could find another one just like it.

It was ordered direct from the GM Factory in Framingham, MA. But the buyer lost his job and the deal feel though. So it sat in the lobby of the plant for about 7months until my uncle purchased it for way under MSRP. (he knew about the car because my grandfather worked there) He drove it for about 3.5-4 years then bought a truck and put the car in storage. Then in 1992 he gave it to me. For free!! It had a 350 w/ a 4-spd tranny. God that car was fast. Full posi rear-end, T-tops, every option that could have been stuffed into it. Except a rear deck spoiler.(It looked better without it anyway) Most of the Trans Am's only came with a 305 but that guy ordered it with a 350. Bless his soul.

I miss that car. If I ever see another one I hope I have the money pick it up.

I'll post a picture maybe tommorrow or the next day.

1978 toyota corolla with duck tape holding it together. It was an Automatic though and driving one is against my religion so it had to be replaced.
