Default Wheels

Ok guys....Im a new kid on the block. I just picked my S2000 last week and am ready for some work. I have decided to get LE37T's in glossy black with polished lip. Now, How wide can i go without having the tires rub? I would like 9.5 in the rear and 8.5 up front. Can anyone tell me if these fitments are compatible with the suspension and all that good stuff. Also, i want to lower the car about an inch. The car handles so well already that i was considering only Espilir springs. Is that a good route or should I get the whole Tein setup? If anyone has pics to give me different ideas, please post them. Thanx

I have yet to see a set of 18" Volks in the proper offsets to handle 9.5 in the rear for the S2000 fitment. I expect that you maybe able to have a set custom made but I'm not sure on that since a new mold may need to be made.

The only wheels that "typically" allow for the ideal 9.5-10.5" rear fitment are the custom 2 and 3 piece wheels (HRE, Kinesis, BBS, Fiske, etc).

volks... dont come wide in the offsets we need/love..

i dont have the Rays book in front of me but 17" comes 9+63

but 18" only comes like 18x8+50 or 18x8.5+50

in a nut shell.. max 8.5

which doesnt really matter because if you get the offset perfectly centered on the 8.5 then u can run a 255/265/275 without a hassle.

riley

and you'll have absolutely no lip.. maybe 3/4" inch at most

bosZ also.. custom order doesnt mean crap because Rays only makes what they want to make.. whats listed in the book.. the only custom thing they'll do is color for an added 65/wheel..

btw Mike/ED @ evasive= GREAT guy to deal w/ on volk ;-)
