hey all,
the spoiler looks really freakin' good, it makes the s2000's rear look so wide and agressive, i wanted to install it like the thugs do... UNPAINTED!
anyways,
i took it to the body shop, and it turns out it's such a pain in the a$$ to get this thing installed w/out rediculous holes to the trunk lid.
i have the OEM spoiler now, and tomorrow i have to go back to the body shop to see if i can get the spoiler installed w/out NEW holes.
does anyone know how many holes were drilled into the trunk lid by the OEM spoiler?
i know one on each side, but are there two in the center?
i couldn't lift the spoiler up to see if there is residue build up b/c something in the center was holding it down still... either gunk got stuck, double sided tape or screws??? someone enlighten me please!
anyways,
i really hope i can think of something clever to avoid more damage to the trunk... MY CAR IS A LEASE.
i'll keep ya'll posted

but again...
how many hole are drilled to the trunk for the OEM spoiler?
2, or more?

now that i know there are FOUR holes in the trunk...
looks like there might be a TSS spoiler up for grabs.

will honda know if i patched up my trunk lid holes and then repainted over it?

my car is leased also but i want the spoiler so bad that i don't care. when my lease is up, i might:

1) buy it if i still like it as i do now and keep the nice spoiler.
2) trade it in for something else or sell it privately and ask for a little $ more for the spoiler. i guess people don't mind paying $100 or so for it if they're buying my car. or just give it for free.

anyways, after a few years, the spoiler might only worth $100 or little more and that not much at all compared to the car. so just give it to the dealer.

btw, i ordered mine a week before last week, and they're supposed to ship it last week. i emailed them monday to see if they shipped it and they responded saying it should arrive early next week. for those who want to find out about their shipment, try email them to find out.

well...
plenty of my friends leased their cars, hooked them up, and turned it in as is... meaning they didn't strip off anything they added...
i want this spoiler on so badly i don't care if they don't give me a dime on it... i COULD HONESTLY CARE LESS...
but i don't know if they'll kill me for touching their trunk w/paint and filling up holes???

Tommy,

I would have the body shop fill the two holes and paint it. Then mount that awesome spoiler. I'll take it off your hands if you don't want it. How were the installation instructions that came with the spoiler? In German?

hey guys,
after some minor thinking and planning, i got the spoiler painted and on yesterday.
my friend w/the digi cam was a bit busy yesterday and today, but tomorrow i'm meeting up w/him and we'll snap some pix and i'll load them up to here.
i chose the cheap way of just filling my two center holes w/rubber plugs... and drilling new holes on the TSS spoiler so it can be screwed on to the existing holes from the OEM one!

it looks really great, and i'm totally satisfied w/the looks, the paint the everything.
pix up tomorrow!!!!

Well I finally received my confirmation that it's been shipped. I think faxing the info over seems to be the most successful way of reaching them.

Tommy...I dying to see those pics of your new spoiler!!!

I am so excited I came home from work and found big box sitting in front of my door. I can't wait til I get this painted and installed.
Tommy., approx. how much did it cost you to get it painted and intalled? I never had to deal with body shop so I have no clue... I just want to get general idea, so, anybody?
