i would think you would won't a heavy shift knob, the momentum of the weight on top the shifter would make the throw for you. Might engage easier. I've heard a lot of good things about the Greddy shift knobs, they have a counter weight one (heavy) and some really light weight ones. Anyone using the Counter Weight one? I would love to hear how it feels.

That thing looks like somebody is missing an eye somewhere - I did not like the blue on the Amuse exhaust, nor this - what is the appeal?

I like my Team Voodoo in pearl aluminum - it matches my console and radio doors well, and you cannot beat it for strength and positive shifting. At the 2 driving schools I attended, the instructors TAUGHT how to position the hand properly for up and downshifts, and extolled the round knob. Ir=t seems to have worked well for Ferrari and the Nascar drivers. The more oblong shape seems to be preferred for sequential shifters, where precision in locating the lever is not critical.

If you broke one, my suggestion would be to contact the shop you purchased from. that would be your best bet, as they would be the ones effected by your displeasure and discontinued patronage.

Highrpmek, I run the Veilside R1, which is the same as the GReddy and the Top Secret, and so on and so forth. It is a countersunk and weighted model. I love it. Feels much cleaner and secure when shifting. I used the mugen pistol grip and the spoon duracon shift knobs previously, both of which I gave away when I bought this one from Evolution Autosports....

I didnt care for that shiftknob at all. I went for the ARC Titanium countersunk shiftknob. Its about $148. Much nicer and more rare. Kinda looks like the Zanardi NSX shiftknob but smaller.
