Default Why has no one done this?

I was recently considering whether to get the AP1 or AP2 look rear bumper. I ended up opting for the AP1 as it had the diffuser style which I really like. But then I turned to photoshop and did these couple of images. Why has no one done this. Masked off the lower portion with pinline 3M tape and sprayed in satin black? I think it looks pretty cool. Subtle but different and goes lovely with a diffuser. What do you guys think?

I hope the owners of the two I've pictures I have photoshopped don't mind.

WOW..... I like that look. Could you do that on a AP2 NFR? I want to do this now.

mine is done similar to that. did it about a month or so ago. cant see any black from standing near-by and looking down as i followed the body line perfectly. looks sick and have had many questions/compliments on "where i got the plastic trim?" or "did that just stick on with double sided tape?" or the best one, "omg, what bumper is that?!! JDM!!????" lol

only decent cell pic as of yet. it follows the lines from the diffusers better IMO and makes the ap2 rear not so damn massive any more. i followed the wider and taller line to accentuate width to match the diff's and spacer combo. but the photoshopped ones look great too. either way is win for the plain ap2 rear.

I'm digging the pics the OP posted. Perhaps you can use vinyl wrap so you can take it off whenever you want to and not worry about repainting it?

I saw he thread title and thought, WTF?

I clicked and saw the pics and the black finish on the lower portion of the rear bumper looks great! Never really been a fan on the AP2 rear bumper either but I love contrast as well.
