Sorry if this is a repost or old sh** but I have been around for a while and have never seen this S before. When and why was it made?

This is mugen's SS2200! It was made back in 2000 and it is very fast.

 

they are in the s2000 Rev magazine

yup, that's the Mugen SS2200. Road and Track test drove it a couple years ago and Sam Mitani said it was amazing. It was Mugen's concept of taking the S2000's F1 derived characteristics to the extreme by making it even more similar to a Honda Formula car.

 

any specs on it?

 

I must say... sure looks like crap but I bet its one hell of a car to drive.
