After a week of traveling through Indiana, Wisconsin, upper and lower Michigan, and a jaunt through Chicago, this is what my formerly clean winter beater Corolla looks like:
In the glare, you probably can't see the salt/grime on the passenger windows (courtesy of the trucks I passed) which somewhat inhibits vision. Oh, both mirrors are caked with the crap too, so much for rearward visibility
And of course, there's a layer of salt eating away at the underside of my car. Ah, the joy of winter!
And the only reason it looks that good is because it is white.
I drive a burgundy truck in the winter and actually it is now so covered in salt it is almost completely white. UGH!
Thumbs up for the winter vehicles!!!

By exhaust I mean a big exhaust tip on a long pipe....

Once you see, you'll know what I mean.
That's NOT dirty .......... THIS ....... is DIRTY!
But you know what? It cleans up real good. I'm not worried about rust on the underside, either. Had a 12 year old Caravan with NO aftermarket rustproofing. Just sold it. NO RUST. It's remarkable how well cars are protected right from the factory. Surely Honda does just as good a job at this as Dodge?
