Why I love driving. VIDEO

I've seen this same behavior by other profesional drivers. It's much more pronounced when they are asked to drive unfamiliar (production) cars as fast as they can. I don't think it's possible to drive like that in a real race car.
Also keep in mind that Tsuchiya's style encorporates drifting. He has found that he can go faster through corners and get faster lap times by using his drifting techniques. This style requires more steering wheel action/correction and pedal action to repeatedly break loose the rear.
It naturally looks more sloppy with the car sliding so much. The truth is in the lap times, or the total time for the touge. Like you said, Tsuchiya is fast.

His drift style mimics that of what rally drivers do. If you watch WRC, you will notice how much correction they have to make during a turn as well. For a drift driver, you don't brake before entering a corner like conventional professional drivers but instead during the corner to induce oversteer like Tsuchiya. Like someone said, it naturally looks more sloppy when the car is sliding so much.
Hmmm...so the question is...which method displays the full potential of the f430 or any car for that matter. driving the multi-correction drift technique or the brake-entry speed-accelerate out of the turn technique? My thing is, I just don't see Felipe Massa drifting out a turn in his formula 1 car. Then again, I'm not an expert in racing.

With the amount of experience and accomplishments Tsuchiya has, I think he can drive whatever way he wants to.
