Default Wing vs. Spoiler

I am ready to add aero treatment to the rear of my S2k. After a long search I have narrowed the choices to three. In general I am not a big fan of "wings", I suppose it may be my age (42) but having been a car enthusiast since the 70's I tend to lean towards the more conservative look of a spoiler. My number one choice for the moment is the Mugen 3 piece unit offered thru King Motorsports @ $650 plus tax...Yada Yada Yada. Second would be Feels FRP one piece $650 which is more along the lines of the muscle cars I grew up around. If I did decide to go with a wing the only one I really like is the Carbon beauty offered by Veilside @ $702. Any suggestions?

I agree with your choices...even the Veilside wing due to it's low profile.

Backyard Special also makes a conservative mean looking spoiler for the rear

Hmmm... if you want us to help you decide, we need pics of your car!

Anyways, my personal favorite is the Mugen 3-piece.

I have gone through this issue more than once..

Recently I was offered such a good deal on a Mugen GT wing already painted to match my car that I chose to buy it even though the 3-piece spoiler was what I really wanted. Funding from a particular account always gets discussed with my wife and she stopped me saying she would not condone me spending that much money on something that was not exactly what I wanted. Good logic but arguing got me deeper in the hole.

A day after I backed out of the deal she convinced me to order the Mugen 3-piece even though with finishing it will cost more. Sometimes the wife know better.

There is a guy local trying to sell a Mugen 3 piece. It is painted silverstone. Not sure why he is selling, I thought the 3 piece left holes in the quarter panel. PM me and I can give you the #

I always liked to Oem spoiler...

I have the oem spoiler, but if I had to get one, I'd get the Mugen 3-piece.

I vote for the Feels spoiler. I also am very partial to the OEM spoiler, it's just clean. BYS looks good. The one on the Garage Defend car (not sure if it's a GD spoiler) in the Hyper Rev vol 76 is pretty nice.

I personally feel the spoiler has to match the rest of the car. If you have a lip kit or something simple, I would go with the OEM spoiler. A larger spoiler would look funny IMO without a kit or a small lip. However if you had a "larger" kit, you could go with one of the larger spoilers. The larger ones I like are the Mugen 3-piece spoiler and the Backyard special spoiler.
