Wow, that blocks off a big portion of the air that the radiator is supposed to get to keep the motor cool. I wonder if there are any over heating issues on track with that intake. Elson, you'll have to track your car now and let us know.

They have a track version snorkel with holes at the bottom of the scoop to ensure proper cooling for the radiator, but Honda had over engineer the cooling efficiency of the car that I do not think it would be an issue as this intake is used on the track.

^ i doubt there will be any issues with hydrolock unless the OP is driving in a huge pile of water thats about 3 feet high and then the snorkel sucks up water into the intake box. hydrolock issues only comes from cold air intakes because of the intake design that places the filter near the bottom right of our cars.
Actually looking at the pics of the snorkel installed, it sits about the exact same height as the filter on my Fujita, maybe just a tad higher. Still will eventually end up with this intake, the Fujita works, but it really doesn't have great throttle response in my opinion, something the box intake should improve on.

Does this intake work with the 4-pt strut bars by asm/t1r/s2x?
