Is this worth buying?
Because the wheel is anodized, I can almost guarantee you that break dust won't come off. When break dust cakes on to anodized wheels, you're screwed. There is no clear coat on the wheels, so the break dust is adhering and breaking down the alloy its self, not a clear coat. The only way to solve this is to re-finish. besides, anodizing is weak as hell in terms of clear coat/ paint strength. They only do it to save grams off the weight of the wheel (when it racing EVERYTHING counts).
need to see more pix. whats the condition of the other wheels?
if they are about the same as the one shown..1600 is a good deal.
i wouldnt worry about the brake dust. i had plenty of mugen mf wheels with caked on brake dust. i dont mind getting down and dirty for a good cleaning.
just so you know its near impossible to match the bronze again if you were thinking of refinishing.
