As for the question regarding the airbags ""...that *IS* surprising for sure. Looks like this car slam/smacked a stationary pole to crumple the center as squarely as it did . I remember hearing (could have been an "urban legend") of kids that would walk along parallel parked cars late at night and would..."WHAM!"...smack their front ends with sledgehammers to make the airbags deploy. Again...could have just been a story...but if true, then those cars were not "on" and yet airbags deployed. Hmmm...
