Yeah, I knew a lot of people would hate the wheels (I should have put a disclaimer in). In the pictures they look ok, but I think they look better in person. Of course, if you hate them in the pictures, you'd hate them in person.

...Now that I think about it, it might be the wheels that keep me from getting a clean badge.

As far as the paint match, I couldn't agree more. It's a pain in the ass to match Suzuka. The hood was painted twice (once by Pete in Mid-A & once after it was vandalized), the front bumper is new and painted this last fall (after it was hit AND THEN vandalized) &, of course, the rear bumper was painted. I swear the match is better in person.

If you think the paint match was good, you should have seen how hard it was to make the hood sit correctly. That was rocket science. I personally love the looks, but when you buy something that was ever touched by mg you realize quickly the price of the hood is half the battle at most.

I swear by Union Park in Wilmington, DE. I think I owe them one of my children for matching everything.

i'm sure strugs put a lot of thought and work in to his setup to NOT be the same as everyone else and following all the trends set on/by this site. comments like this are not necessary.

 

Thanks nightcrawler! I definitely put a lot of thought into it so I appreciate someone realizing that even if it doesn't do it for them. (I actually hand-cut the template for the grille for the hood scoop so it would match the others.) I don't mind though. I know my tastes are probably a little different. The diamond grille's are probably more European style as are the hood. The rims, well, I can't blame them on anyone but myself. I definitely understand why most people disagree with my choice of wheels. I love them but they are extreme. Of course I also like this Morgan Aeromax so trying to get a clean badge is probably a losing endeavor.

Funny thing is, I'm totally obsessed with fitment, finish and paint match. Maybe I need to pair up with someone who has great S2KI taste but no sense of finishing. Then we would have a ridiculous car.

 

Damn , and I thought I would be the only Suzuka with that hood...

Strugs, do you still have the template for the scoop screen. I need to make one myself. I'll post more pics of mine this weekend after I have time to get it cleaned up during daylight hours.

Yes Suzuka is a bitch to paint match.

I had the veilside wing painted and the bottom of the rear bumper painted as well.

Just stay out of florida and virginia ....lol.

 

Ha ha. Seeing yours definitely made me do a double take. Florida you can have but we may need to split custody of Virginia.

I do still have the template I made for the hood grille. PM me your address and I'll send it the beginning of next week. It was a pain to make so I'd be glad to save you the extra work. What material will your hood grille be made of?

Puff... Sorry bro, but I'm not feeling the look of the CF hood with nothing else to flow with it. Also, when you lower your car with stock wheels it just looks strange with offsets that are that conservative IMO.

S2Murse... Your sebring is CLEAN! Nice job... dropped low on some cool wheels with a front lip, you can't get a cleaner looking S2K IMO. Nice work. Approved! BTW, I like your bike too.

Crankdatvtec... paint that front lip and your car will be clean for sure. I really like that APR front lip also.

Strugs... props for doing something different, that's what modding cars is all about with turning your car into the vision that you want it to be. For me, the wheels are definitely killing the clean look of your car though. I think that they would be more suited on a low rider or something, I'm just not a fan of them.
I would also lose the s2000 side emblem in the lower grille, it looks kind of tacky IMO. I do really like your INGS rear bumper, but because its so aggressive looking I don't know if it really flows with the OEM AP1 front and no sideskirts. I'm interested in seeing what else you have in store for the car as it is definitely unique, but I'm not sure if it really flows overall as it sits now. Keep us posted with your progress.

Spayellows2k... I like the yellow fogs on your car, but with the amber headlights, CF front lip, and the spa paint I just think that there are too many colors going on. I think it would flow much better if you painted the front lip, but I usually don't like CF bodyparts. I think that CF accents are nice, but entire lips look tacked on to me. I'd say approved pending some paint and a drop.
