Default Advice on hardware to mount Recaro Profi SPG

I'm 5'8", 135 lbs with a 29-inch waist and I'd like to replace the driver's seat with a Recaro Profi SPG. I like the stock seating position, but I think it could be better if I were 1-inch lower. What seat rails would meet this criteria and be safe and relatively easy to install? I've heard mixed reviews of Buddy Club rails so I'm going to avoid them.

Also, it looks like Recaro sells the seat base, side mount and slider separately on some sites. Are those universal?

Thanks in advance!

just went through this decision process myself (with Pole Positions but its similar), I was against Buddy Clubs at first but after lots of research its what I ended up with. You can use a seat base like Planted, but then you needed sliders (Recaro sells them) and side mounts (again recaro sells them) but the general concensius on here is that that will make the seat as high or higher then stock. Also the buddy clubs are about 160, where as the other setup would have been over 400. If you looked at a seat base like Planted you can see it has bars that run across the floor pan which prevent the seat from being lowered very far. The buddy clubs just mount on the side of the seat with nothing running underneath.

If you go with the buddy clubs you will need eight M8x1.25x16mm bolts or button head allen bolts which IMO look cleaner. You will also need 8 washers for those and 4 washers for the front seat bolts as the holes on the buddy club rails are too big.

I would post up some pics but my car is at the shop having the top replaced. let me know if you have any other questions as I know this is a confusing process having just gone through it myself

just to give you an idea on the height, the top of the seat is about the same as stock but because of the way the bucket is you sit a little lower. Maybe an inch.

Thanks! Appreciate the insight. I ended up with the Nagisa rails on the recommendation of several other members.

how is the quality and how easily do they slide? I will admit I am not thrilled with the buddy clubs but they will work for now
