Default Aftermarket Ebrake handle?

Hey guys, I saw this on ebay and it would go well with the interior look I am going with.

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/CARBON-FIBER-...item257087b819

I have read on other cars you have to cut up the ebrake handle so this slides overtop of the OEM handle.... Im guessing on our cars this would mean we have to trim off the rubber/plastic/leather handle itself.... Anyone have any experience doing this?
I want to get a feel for how much work will be involved with getting this to look good and be a firm fit

Thanks guys!
Jeff

I don't think many people have hacked apart their ebrake to put on a tacky looking ebrake like that. I would say don't do it, but if you must, the ebrake for the s2000 seems really solid rubber and different than ebrakes on a civic where its really just a plastic cover. it might take a bit of work to take off the cover.

there are other aftermarket ebrake handles out there.

you can get a customized one from JPM Coachworks. There are plenty of people on the forums who've gotten work done from them with great results.

here's my interior. I did a re-wrap for the oem ebrake. Had to send it off to JPM in NY.

Thx for the info... I couldnt see the pics in your thread though :S

What I would really like is a handle the same as the stock one but carbon fiber with brushed aluminum accents, which I guess doesn't exist. All I can find are the universal ones that are square at the end that is closest to the boot, and having it end abruptly as opposed to with the lines of the stock ebrake will look bad bad bad...

yeah having your OEM re-wrapped is the best option...there are boots you can buy on ebay (TopGaiters), then there is the JPM Coachworks option, or the GoTuning Unlimited option
