I thought about doing it behind the seats but it left little to no room fully mounted.

You can try and fit the amp under the passenger seat. There's a bit more room under there if I remember correctly than there is under the driver seat. Thing is you're minimizing breathable space so the amp will tend to and likely overheat.

Never thought of trying it but if you get a small enough amp, try hiding it somewhere under the dash

hey fellow oakvillian!

i thought under the seat but again overheating would be a pain and its a fairly decent sized amp so i might be outta luck and have to sacrifice the trunk even more

I installed my amp (2 channels so a small amp) behind driver seat, vertically mounted.

I have two amps in my car. One behind each seat but it changed my driving position alot so I ended up putting that in the negative space underneath the soft top tray. I would recommend that but I had to take out some recycled foam they had in there but it all fit. I would recommend that location because it's all unused space

My amp fits perfect in this empty space

Could be a little tight for breathing. I may wire up a 12v fan to help keep it cool in there.

i bolted in a piece of plywood to where the spare tire bolts into and screwed my amp on there. Hidden and plenty of room to breath

Thanks for the pic. I was hoping you had both your amp and spare tire in there
