I just purchased complete Red interior to install on my 2004 ap2
Is it pretty much plug and play? Do they have same dash board wire?
The reason why i ask is because they only offer complete red interior on AP1 in american. And i just wanna make sure that makes anything undoable to be installed on Ap2 because of unknown changes that honda made ( dash board wires, air bag plus , cluster wiring etc)

Also is it illeagal to take off the VIN plate on the red dash and putting mine on?

I know door panels, roll bar covers, panels behind the seat, seats etc are pretty much plug and play. But im really concern about the dashboard wires

It will bolt right in because you will reuse your guage cluster. just a heads up, dash removal is a BIT*H. if you got ap1 seats you wil need to swap your ap2 seat rails over. be sure to pull the entire roll hoop and covers out as a unit, do not seperate the plastic.

Reusing my cluster, meaning im gonna literally take the only dash board shell out and put the red one in ?
Everything like clusters, A/C tunnels, dashboard wires etc dont have to come off with dashboard?

Well the cluster will come out first. then when you get the old dash out you can swap over any components you need to. onve re installed your guage cluster will go back in

 

Good luck. I wanted to do this in my '07 but I didn't want to lose the roll hoop speakers.

 

If you go to NAPA paint they can match exact color and then you can spray dye your roll hoops and have a full red interior

Any clue of the cost? I've wanted red roll hoops for my 01 red/black for a long time

OP sold his conversion parts to another person.

based on the oem parts number, MY06+ has different SRS wires, so MY06+ including CR won't be able to swap MY02-03 passenger side air bag. it seems MY04-05 can make a direct swap.
