Hi everyone, I am in the market to purchasing my first s2k. I am interested GPW with red and black interior. Has anyone come across with color transfer with their red interior/tan interior? I usually own black leather so I never came across color seats before. Thanks

 

Leather is typically coated with a thin urethane outer coating that has no dye in it so any color transfer (if any, I havent ever experienced it on any leather seats I've detailed) can be cleaned off very easily with leather cleaning products.

 

Yes. I have a 08 Silver with red/black interior. When I drive without AC here in Florida the Red dyetransfers to my shirts. Only seems to happen when I sweat. I would like to apply a clear coating to the seats but I am afraid it will harden the leather and creat other issues.

 

Black leather is dyed just like any other color leather is.

 

If you get a GPW with all red interior, i'll trade you for my black/red
