Default Consensus on New Floor Mats?

Hey all,

My car is a 2001 and it suffers from the issue of having a single anchor for the drivers side carpet (see picture). Being old, the carpet nubs on the bottom are coming off so the mat rotates really easily around the attachment minutes after re-adjusting and it's driving me crazy. The upper left part of the mat starts to bend up against the footrest and I can feel it when I operate the clutch.

I've seen a few threads on this but a lot are quite old and various parts that go along with the suggestions are getting harder to come by. My understanding is that there is an attachment point for a second anchor on the crossbeam underneath the carpet... is that true for a MY01? I've seen a lot of options for OEM red mats like mine but with the second hole that came on MY02s(?) and later, however, I can't find an extra anchor anywhere as they seem to be discontinued. Additionally I've heard a lot about the "extended" floor mats that people seem to have (like the ones here), but I don't quite understand, are those OEM? Or did Honda make ones like those as an OEM option outside the US? I'd prefer to keep OEM looking parts on the car, so if these are factory style mats, does anyone have a suggestion on the best/cheapest place to buy them? Best I can find is the ones here which are about $206 shipped to the US.

In summary, just trying to know what the general consensus is on the best fix or replacement is for these floor mats.

Thanks!

I have a MY00 with the single anchor point. I purchased a set of the Hendy extended floor mats (https://www.s2ki.com/forums/uk-irela...sting-1177608/). They have 2 anchor points, but neither of them are an exact fit for my existing anchor. No worries -- with the extended mats, you can just use the connection points (kinda like push button type connectors) and they stay in place very well.

Note that you can find these mats from several vendors. They are similar to the 20th Anniversary units just released by Honda, but MUCH cheaper. Its funny how much that little metal 20th Anniversary tag costs!

EDIT: This is a direct link to the floormats I am talking about: https://www.hendyeshop.co.uk/genuine...et-26740-p.asp

The 4 piece Honda Access mats are spendy for what they are, even with that said I purchased a set the moment they became available though an online retailer. My car came with some aftermarket 2 piece mats that were not up to par & since they were only two piece they did not cover the hump on MY06 floorboards. I have also purchased a set of custom mats that are more like all season mats & they have shipped. I'm very curious to see them in person & see how they fit in my car, will post a pic when I get them.

Thanks for the link! Unfortunately it looks like the member who was giving out discount codes for that site no longer works there. I emailed them to see if they are still giving out codes, so we'll see if i get a response. And ya, I would have loved the 20th anniversary ones but apart from them being quite pricey, they look like they only come in RHD :/

Where did you order the 4-piece mats from?

Renegade Motorsports, last Instagram story showed they had 5 sets left. Since they are in stock you will not have to wait long. They are great looking & obviously fitment is spot on since they are factory Honda.

4piece Access Mats for the win.

Since you are an 00 you won't have the mounting holes. But no worries just assemble the mats and lay them down, no need for screwing the brackets. The humps hold them in place perfect

If you order from Cox or hendy, you will get them in less than a week.

Ended up ordering a set from Cox! By far the cheapest (~$208 shipped to the US) and I found some other threads with good things to say about them as well as how fast they ship. Thanks everyone for all the suggestions!

I may order another set to hold on to at that price.
