I would recommend getting the later model AP1/AP2 metal dead pedal too.
I never thought of fabric guard.

Thanks for the advice. I too just placed my order this morning! Wish they made Suzuka blue - decided to go with black for the contrast!

The original floor mats on '99 S2K cleaned up fine after purchasing the car last April. I purchased a cheap set of generic rear floor mats that were an almost perfect match to original black carpet. They have a plastic/rubber non slip back on them. I heated them up with heat gun and when backing rubber was soft, moulded them onto the hump shape ( with a sheet of protective paper over original carpet ) After holding and pressing in place with both hands for about 5 minutes, till rubber cooled .... the boring part of job .... the mats stayed moulded perfectly to hump on both sides. A hole was punched to match the holding pins on original Honda mats. The original mats go over the top in front of hump. Works well and protects the hump part of carpet being worn by anyone getting in or out of vehicle by putting feet on hump section, as I do sometimes to avoid crushing/flattening the edge of seat bolster ( a common issue with leather seats in S2K ). Just my quick and easy solution to protecting the hump section carpet and almost not noticeable since moulded to shape of floor.

Buy the 4 piece mats from COX UK and use Transferwise or Paypal balance for payment. All other options will cost more. All US retailers are marking them up about $75-100 and are scamming you.
Just ordered these 2 days ago, Cost me 250+100 shipping (RSG). If I would have ordered from COX they would have cost me 250 shipped. Wish I would have read this earlier.

I hear you

Man I just had my beauty polished in 3 stages and glazed yesterday only to have it rain shortly afterwards! I hate that! Fortunately she's parked undercover but still...rain is a hater of clean S2K's lol.

These are really great mats. It took only 6 days for a set to be on my doorstep from Cox. My '01 only had one post for the floormats, so I am extremely happy with this two-post system that keeps the mat in place in my car. This is the best 170 pounds I have spent on this car.
