You sure it's not because you have a bright future?

I switch my cluster to KPH so my gf quits hounding about going 5-10 over.

Looks like its either a love or hate it kind of choice ...I don't have an issue with glare at all ...I love the way my dash looks brightness also increase on the controls I.e. a/c heat /fan etc ...I love it looks great at night city driving or back roads Im always at full brightness , yes that means hold the plus button down for max brightness .... now I want to buy new led lights to change the color ...that's my next purchase

It is a FACT that with the brightness turned up, your pupils will be more contracted and won't take in as much light from outside the car. In a lighted city, no big deal, but on backroads, it's not a good idea. Your vision is impaired vs. leaving the dash lights dim.

this.
Also, your eyes have to adjust to the brightness of the surrounding. It takes time for the eyes to adjust to the outside if the brightness is set to max.
When I was younger, my eyes can adjust pretty fast, not so much any more. I run it 2 levels below max at night.

Hey guys I am new to the forum and just got a 2006 RF S2k for about 2 weeks now and I was wondering if this is normal or not: at night time, my cluster light seems like it is coming from the corners(idk if what I am trying to explain even makes sense). It make it seem like the speedo is video game-ish and I don't like that, I will try to lower the dim and see if that helps but I was wondering if maybe my speedo is falty like the face of it leaned a little back...any thoughts? Thanks ~
