Although i don't use Armor All, it won't dry our your dash. The formula was changed long ago, more than most of you have been alive yet that legend still lives on.

Hold the phone on Vinylex.

The better products for the dash are 303 Aerospace Protectant, and 1Z Cockpit Premium.

They don't leave behind any oily residues, and have UV protection.

I know Lexol has UV ptotection, but just isn't all that great of a product.

Not a big fan of Vinylex. It's too shiny for my taste. I like my dashboard to look like new (matte). I haven't tried the 1Z Cockpit Premium everyone seems to like lately, but I have tried 303. 303 works well, but when I had an S2K I felt that DP Interior Surface Protectant left a more matte finish. I still use DP ISP on my current car.

So the 303 Protectant that we use on our convertible top is safe for our whole interior?

Vinylex can be toned down by buffing it a bit post application with a clean, dry MF towel. After doing that (which I always do when dressing interior stuff anyway), I have a hard time telling the difference between it and 303 side by side.

I have never heard that.... and I have heard many times that it will dry out your dash unless you keep using it regularly. It would make sense that the company would change their formula, but if they did, they haven't done enough positive PR to combat hearsay!

I for one have never used a single Armor All product, not even tire dressings, because I've read so many bad things about dried out dashboards! Too many other better products out there to risk it.

Yup. Have you read the bottle?

Just about everything in life does. It surprises me that more people don't realize this as they tend to assume that there's always a universal best when that's rarely the case in real life.

Yup, that's old, old, old news. They changed the formula a LONG time ago and Armor All is no longer harmful to your dashboard. The company just can't shake that reputation though.

Usually once a month is usually more than sufficient for me. It really depends on the climate you live in though. If you live somewhere very hot & sunny then you'll need to apply more often.

Thanks everyone for all the responses, it's definately helped. Can 303 be purchased from a store, or is only available online?
