Elbo Pad
they are all rock hard from the factory. If you go the route of re-covering your elbowpad request that padding be added under it to give it a nice soft feel. I did that to mine and it feels so much better, I use mine alot on long trips and I love the upgraded feel of it. I used JPMCoachworks for my re-covering, but it sounds like Crofton does that work too, worth checking out, it's a nice upgrade for very little cost and effort. I absolutely hate the feel of the factory part.
just curious, could adding some foam be an easy diy job? just pull out the leather stick some foam in and re-glue the leather back? possibly a money saving alternative, has anyone with more knowledge try this?
yep! It can be a diy job but if you arnt a handy man it can get fugly.
I recommend contacting a local supply shop and starying off with a 1/4 inch of backed sewing foam. Then get 1 can of contact glue. Taking apart the center console is easy with lots of DIY's. Then glue on the foam, wrap it under the lip, trim, and glue the leather back on. Not to hard to do, but then again, I have done tons of them.
Or hit me up and i can do it for you and make you a new armrest cover if you want as well.

The thought of me using contact glue or spray adhesive was a nightmare waiting to happen, I was very happy to have a professional do it for me. For some reason when I work with glue I manage to get it everywhere it doesn't need to be.
