Default EP3 steering wheel on S2k?

Hows it going everyone.
I've been slowly customizing my interior in MY00 and I've come to the point where I want to change out the steering wheel. I've seen and have used a few different ones however I enjoy the look and feel of OEM. Now I've seen the DC5R wheel mounted on the S and it looks great but I feel the EP3 Si steering wheel looks a lot like MY00. Does anyone know or has anyone actually installed one on an S?

Thanks in advance

i believe the ep3 si steering wheel wont work on s2000 years through 2000-05 because its a dual stage airbag and those use a one stage. I know the jdm steering wheel will work though but i guess you can use the steering wheel and your exisiting airbag.

I have always wanted to know about this as well. I used to own a 02"Si and love the way the steering wheel looked with the red stitching I think someone did it in here and post pictures. My guessing is that you can do the swap.

The wheel fits. The airbags on '06-'09 AP2's have to be kept if you are swapping an EP3 wheel into an '06+AP2.

Just got my new wheel installed on my 07 and it went in perfectly, I'm really happy with it, I wish the S had a stitching option as standard. I've also got a red stitched shift boot on it's way and one day I'll get the door inserts done as well.

^I know the guy he bought that from and it worked in his 04/05 so that's an option too. Only one I can't speak to is AP1.

I think the actual design of the wheel is the same, I'm just not sure how the airbag will work with the new wheel nor the cruise control. I was glad my 06+ wheel bolted right up since I hadn't seen anyone else do an 06+.
