I'm curious ... did this aftermarket seat rail claim to lower the STOCK seat 2 inches? Because I have a BYS seat rail on a stock seat that lowers it 1 inch, and the seat bottom is rubbing against the carpet on the floor. How could it get a stock seat any lower than that???

The picture of the seat rail (just the slider) looks a lot like the seat rails in my Lotus Elise. Could be wrong.

I was able to lower the factory seat by modifying the factory rails. However, it required the use of a welder and CNC to machine new rear brackets, so I assume most people wouldn't have the ability to do it at home. When I stop being lazy I'll post a thread about it.

The limit to lowering the seat is the factory pan hitting the carpet. I think at most you can get ~1 inch out of it.

Have any more info on this? I have acess to both those things & would love to have a batch made up if people are interested. Are AP1 & 2 pans / rails the same?

Some info on this would be great.

Do you hack up another manufacture brackets or can you buy non-specific rails to do this?

Someone create a DIY please
