Default Lowering the Stock Seats

Hello S2K forums, this is my first post. I just bought an S2K for the track and I would like to lower the stock seat. The last thread I saw on the topic was in 2014. Has anyone had any luck lowering the stock seats? Would modification of Ballade Sports Ultra-low Seat Rail be THAT hard?

Thanks!
Dave

I have the bys, they are as low as you can go with stock seats. The seat bottom rubs the carpet

Did you find that they lowered the seat a significant amount?

Just under an inch, but leaves the top half of the seat at stock hight. Creating a a gap between the top / bottom of the seat, so you actually have more torso space. I really like it. That said I'm 6'5 so I just bought a pole position & rails, probably should have done that from the start.

Thanks! I'll probably run the stock seat this year and buy the pole position next year... after the budget is replenished.

I just purchased the drivers side BYS lowered seat rails from RHD Japan (www.rhdjapan.com). Total cost including shipping, Paypal fees, etc. was $324.02 (the price will move around depending on the exchange rate). It took about 10 days to get the rails delivered (I'm in Florida) but that's partly because I forgot some info on the order and we had a couple days of email back and forth. I'd highly recommend RHD Japan - it was a very smooth transaction even with my errors on the order.

Now for the fun part - installing it...
