Default Modifry Dash Bracket

Finished the install by the book today and the bezel is a bit farther out from the vinyl than before. I cut that strip of vinyl inside as instructed but even still the bezel sticks out.

My question is did I not install the bracket correctly? Did I perhaps not line the clips up right?

Pictures on the way - thanks everyone!

Hard to tell with the photos posted. Can you post a close up? Looks normal in those photos to me.

Thanks for getting back to me. Did you see the third photo? I can definitely take a closer photo today and post.

Did you install a bracket similar to this one, and if so, was there a gap too?

Maybe you didn't trim enough.

the bezel wont sit perfectly flat again unless you remove it entirely and do some very detailed trimming/grinding. dont care what modifry says...

I certainly don't mind putting in the work if that's what it takes. What did you do to make yours fit well?

when i had it, I pulled the dash cover like 6-8 times to dremel stuff down and allow the bracket to recess into the dash further. it was a pain to get just right. you can put in like an hour and a half of finiky work for it to look slightly better, or, just leave it how it is until you get tired of it, then chuck it. lol

My Modifry dash bracket also leaves a little gap. It's not the same as before I installed it. I too trimmed more than what Modifry says to and it is a little better. I decided to stop when I felt I could live with it.

Just installed my dash bracket recently. Mine wasn't very flush when I originally put it on, but I trimmed quite a bit of the plastic and vinyl afterward and now it fits great. Here some pics of my new mount =]
