Default Need key for seat lock

Hey guys,

I bought my s2k a couple months ago, not knowing it has the seat locks until recently. I'm planning to do some seat mods but don't have the key and previous owner doesn't have it either! I have tried to PM the member that sells the key/locks, but haven't heard anything yet. Anyone close to Sacramento area able to let me borrow theirs for like 15 min?

^ It's all good, thanks tho man. I ended up using an electric grinder to flatten two parallel surfaces and used an adjustable wrench to remove them. Got three of the four off. The passenger left side is the one I'm stuck on since there's barely any room around it. I got a friend who has a welding machine, so we're ganna weld something to it and remove it that way. This process has been a pain in the .

I guess you tried contacting the previous owner?

The first thing that came to my mind was trying one of those "pin style" universal sockets. I think that would work pretty well here.

I am in the El Dorado Hills area. Its a bit hard to see the pattern but I would be happy to meet you next week when I get home.
You can make a mold of the bolt, let it harden and then use JB weld to make a new key; use a bolt on top of the wet JB so you have something to grip and turn. If you don't care about that one remaining bolt, you can pour JB into the top and stick a bolt on top of that. Let it harden and remove.

PM me if you want me to check.

IMO you did the right thing by removing them yourself. I was in the same situation last year and at time I contacted the seller of those seat locks to get a replacement key, and the whole ordeal took more than a month. More then a month for one key!
