Default New Seats or Re-upholstery?

Would it be cheaper to buy newish looking seats($500-600) locally or get both seats re-upholstered by a shop?
Anyone have a clue what it costs to get seats redone?

I'd be looking to get some baseball glove colored leatherette.

It will cost you the same $600 to have them reupholstered by a good shop, BUT, they can use MUCH better leather, fix the bolsters, and generally put out a higher quality product. Use a shop, don't waste money on used seats that will become the same way.

If it's just a bolster issue you can buy replacements from Honda at like 250 I think.

That's just the foam though.

I've never gotten custom seats done but I think they run a little more than 600.

Maybe 600 per seat considering jpm charges close to 500 to wrap a steering wheel...

Steering wheels are actually the hardest part in terms of leatherwork. I even remember when I was watching ultimate factories, on the Bentley Mulsanne, they were saying that in the leather shop, the steering wheel is the most prestigious job because it is the hardest, and can only be done perfectly by craftsmen with 30+ years of leatherwork experience.

your best be would be to get them re-upholstered. Then you can change it up a bit if you want and have higher quality leather and vinyl.

( i have done quite a few s2k interiors from out of state, they send the seats broken down or just the covers for me to re-do.)
