Default passenger seat question?

Hi all, i just picked up my S2000 last thursday night and i am IN LOVE!! the car is amazing. anyway my wife was in the passenger seat and she noticed that it doesn't recline very far back. There is no problem moving forwards and backwards, but the back rest does not recline as much as the driver's seat does. is this normal? or should they both recline the same amount?

thanks in advance for the input guys

they should be the same..is anything stuck in the back? maybe if she moves her seat up more then it'll recline farther?

not sure why it wouldn't recline more than the driver's

Moving to S2000 Interiors.

Get the back part of the seat to the front. Then slide the seat all the way to the rear and then settle the back part of the seat and see if that will work for you. If not, then there must be something wrong with the rails or a small obstacle on the way.

maybe it is the handle mechanism that reclines the seat...could be stuck at a certain point or something jamming it...

yea i tried to see if there was anything obstructing the mechanism but was unable to find anything. The seat does recline a bit, but just does not go as far back as the driver's seat.

something else that i think it could be is that someone spilled soda on the handle and they never bothered to clean it up and now it prevents the seat from moving properly...

So I took my car to honda today and they told me that they compared my car with another 2007 S2000 and told me that it was the same condition as mine. in other words the passenger seat does not in fact recline as much as the driver seat and said that this was the way it came. 0_o

Can any 2007 S2000 owners out there please chime in? does your passenger seat recline as much as the driver's seat does?? or does it in fact not recline as far back??

thanks in advance

I'd swear my 2005 reclines the same but I hardly spend time in the passenger seat!

Sorry I can't be of more help.
