Default Planted Rails

I'm 6'4".. after looking through all the threads I'm considering the BC rails.

But due to the poor quality control described by some on these forums I found the Planted rails from 425 Motorsports:

http://www.425motorsports.com/plante...06-driver.html

They look fairly hefty and well made.. has anyone compared the two?

Thanks...

Only buddy clubs I have seen have been side mounts, that planted mount appears to only be for bottom mount seats or to mount a slider set-up from another manufacture.

Buy the bc rails an have them re welded. I've seen planted bases with Recaro side mounts used for Recaro pole positions and the seats were higher than stock!

My sidemounts (Sparco Revs) were way too high on Sparco mounts and the Sparco base (looks more or less identical to that Planted one), and I'm literally a foot shorter than you. I actually wanted a fixed base (no rails), so I ended up making my own mounts--when used with a narrow seat that can fit in-between the brackets, the seat can go all the way to the floor.

I am quite interested in this. I am planning on putting Momo daytona Evos in the car. I am 6"2 and I need all the room I can get above the head to pass the broomstick test with the helmet. I assume pictures are going to be difficult to take, so could you post a sketch of your solution? o you think that installing momo or recaro brakets (modified if needed) could work?

If you want to lower your stock seats, the Backyard Special low seat rails are the best solution, IMHO. I also removed some padding and beat the pan down, and it is fantastic for me. Now moving to race seats so that I can fit a harness for the track.

My seats are actually out of the car right now, as I'm installing my sub belts. I'll take some pictures--they may give you some ideas. I could probably sell them for a reasonable price if there was interest, maybe I'll post a feeler.

Yah, thanks.. I'm currently running the BYS rails, but even with a helmet on I'm slightly above the broomstick. Already have a Harddog bar...

I guess it's BC + Recaro PPs.

I have a set of planted rails. Still New. They are thick and fit without any problems. (removed seats and mocked them up) Very good quality.

Trying to put in some DC5 Recaros and i heard that Bride RO rails are a direct fit. Looking for the driver side bracket is a pain though, cant seem to find them anywhere..
