Rubber mats - HEXOMATS review
Just bought my first S the other day - I've always had rubber, all-weather floor mats in my car since I prefer the grippy, soft feel.
I've read and seen that the Muz mats were the best but are no longer manufactured and weren't rubber. I'd like something made specifically for the S and that covers as much of the carpet for protection, as well as the cross member.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I remember seeing ads for WeatherTech or AccuTech, something or other, advertised in a lot of car magazines, saying that they will make custom mats. They might be pricey but they can't be any worse than stock ones as far as cost. I think I was concerned with color options though, it looked like there were none ???

I'm trying to stay away from Hexomats but it looks like that's the only option so far!
Here is another option, these fit the S2000 very well and do not slid around. Check around for the best price, this place sells them but there may be better prices out there.

So they came in today.
MY06 fitting

Well for anyone interested, they're pretty alright for $60. I've always used rubber floor mats in my previous car so this was refreshing for me - I like gripping the rubber with my feet.
As for the mats themselves - pretty good fit. My two complaints are that they smell really rubbery and not a pleasant rubbery smell and that while they do cover the crossmembers, they're not a molded fit over them. The mats themselves come in rolled up in a box and when you take them out and let them sit for a while, they're just flat. Thus, instead of molding over the cross members, it just sort of fits over them. I might try to take a hair dryer and mold them myself.
I ordered the custom "long" mats which do a pretty good job of covering everything - they're not a perfect fit in that they ride up the sides of the carpet just a tiny bit but I'm sure over time and especially getting cooked in the summertime heat, they will form much better.
Overall, 8/10 imo
