Default Seat Trimming - Black & Grey

Hi,

Planning to get my seats retrimmed next month.

I currently have a set of JDM seats (Leather/Vinyl sides with cloth inners) and am planning to get re-trimmed in leather sides and alcantara inners.

The car is Silverstone, so thinking of a nice dark grey to complement the paint. Been having a browse to see if anyone had done anything similar but can't find anything close. If you have done anything similar, please do let me know, it would be good to see an example.

No experience but I'd love to see photos of the seats in your car. Not sure, though, if just the seat centers in grey will look like with everything else all black. Recover the door cards perhaps? Lots of possibilities. (My '06 interior is Boring Black other than the single, glaringly silver radio modesty cover which I subdued with a CR cover.)

I had thought about that, I'd rather keep the door cards black, but perhaps introduce a grey pin stripe to complement the inners.

Want to keep it subtle, but I've grown accustomed to the fabric inners and don't fancy replacing them with leather like the UK spec seats. Thinking a dark grey will work well without being too much of contrast, and will match the steering wheel and gaiter which I've had re-trimmed and added a silver stitching to match the paint.

The seats are in fairly decent condition, just look a little tired with 23 years of use and despite refreshing most of the plastics/trim and carpets/mats with new OEM items the seats are the only thing left to 'refresh' the interior. (Last things I did were rather minor, but who'd have thought a new rear mirror assembly and cupholder would smarten things up so much!)

Alcantara middle section in Grey should look awesome.

I would love o have an all red interior in my silver car, but that means buying the super expensive RED carpet as well. Has anyone just gone the seats in red while leaving everything else as black?

Well, I finally got around to getting the seats completed.

Both seats in black Nappa leather, along with door cards and centre tunnel with silver topstitch. Centres are grey alcantara.

Those re trimmed seats look really nice.
May I ask who did the work and the cost?

Hi,

I used a company called Fineline who are based in Caerphilly, South Wales.

I paid about £1100 all in, which was the seats, doorcards and tunnel. The leather wasn't cheap, so was happy with the price.
