Default Status Ring Seat Not Fitting

I'm new to the S2000 (which may be part of the problem) but today we went to install a Hard Dog roll bar and a set of Status Ring seats (FRP). I got the seat bracket / side mount and seat. (Didn't get the sliders). With the brackets in, we sat the seat in to do a test fit (since we didnt get the sliders we have to drill new holes) and the seats dont fit. It smashes the wing on the top into the door and it smashes into the center. Once I'm somewhat comfortable, half of the side mount isn't even on the seat bracket and I'm not straight. I adjusted the size up and down and none of the ways I've tried works. I'm at a loss and totally discouraged, so if anyone has any advice, please let me know. I need the car back together by Monday

Thanks

It's a little late now but you should always do some research to see what others have fit in the car. There are a ton of good seats that just don't work in the s2k because the shoulder width is too wide....although I do think I've seen people put the same seat in before so I'm not sure

The Ring seat is a very tight fit in the S2k. Even with everything installed correctly, you're going to have contact on the door panel and possibly the "glovebox." The Status Racing Hockenheim seat fits the S2000 perfectly. It's no longer produced, but I've got a few in stock in Kevlar. I've also got 2 FRP versions in stock, but they're blemished.

I have my passenger Ring seat installed now. It's slanted slightly to fit but looks fine none the less. My other seat is still in the plastics but I hope to have it in the same way.

Thanks for the information

Where'd you get the seats from?
