It's possible, but you would have to drill out the original threads inside the knob. It would be too difficult to drill AND continue the tap the threads further in the same hole and stay straight.


The machine shop will have to drill the hole out bigger and put a threaded insert deeper inside... You will need a bigger hole anyways to "sink" onto the shift lever shaft (without bottoming out)

Great idea btw. I'd like to see that!..

I have the ctr knob (same as CR but with red letters)... it dosent get nearly as hot/cold as the stock knob did.

It can sit out in the sun all day and never get as hot as the steering wheel.

Its not countersunk per-se, but it sits a good bit lower than the stock knob.
