Default What can I do with this?

Hi guys. On my 06 console, I've always hated the look of the U-shaped area with the raised texture surrounding the shift boot. You can see in one corner where I've actually tried to peel it off, haha. Is there anything I can do to improve this area? I'd really love a piece of aluminum trim in this spot to match my knob/radio door and cover the ugly rubber. Any links or suggestions?

Vinyl CF wrap, razor blade, steady hand.

the CF wrap looks amazing. I thought about doing the yellow CF radio door off of the CR and wrapping my console like you did yours just in the yellow CF.

I'm afraid of using a blade and scratching the other side. Maybe I'll give it a shot

So my only option is to have something custom made? That sucks.

Get the aluminum interior trim kit on eBay.
I ordered mine about two years and it's still going strong. Part of the kit has a pre maid aluminum piece that covers over the whole ugly thing your talking about.
