I am looking to change the door inserts on my 03 AP1 door panels with red ones and saw some nice AP2 ones for sale but I read that the door inserts won't fit from an AP2, just the whole door panel itself. Can anyone explain to me what hinders the AP2 ones from fitting? Is it just a matter of maybe trimming or something more major?

 

the AP1 door inserts are trimmed out by the entire door panel. Look where the door opens up, you see the door panel itself. There is also a different design material wise to the AP1 door panels. The Ap2 door inserts actually wrap around the edge of the door panel and is a bigger piece.

Its really easy to just get them recovered. Send me a PM if you want
