Default Windscreen effectiveness?

I have a 2000 S2000 and it did not come with a windscreen on top of my glovebox.

Does it really do a good job of reducing cabin wind or is it not really worth installing one?

I searched this and found nothing, sorry if this has been covered before.

I'd say it's effective to some degree...however you should also consider the fact that esthetically it ties the roll hoops in very well

the stock on is ok. are you missing the whole assembly or just the windscreen itself. i would assume the whole assembly. One thing to look into is js2k.com windscreen or Ricks2k.com as you can get a tall version which would be more functional.

Not very effective, IMO. Haven't had mine installed for a while and can't really tell the difference.

From 00 without to 01 with stock to 01 with tall, I haven't really noticed any difference, aside from the top one rattling all over the place and hitting the rear window. I noticed much more of a difference by cutting lexan to put in the hoops themselves.

When I put the windscreen up/down I can notice a difference in wind noise + wind in the cabin. It's not a huge difference but it's enough of a difference for me to try a taller windscreen (from JS2k.com)

There is a very noticeable difference for me. I have the Js2k taller version one and definitely reduces the in the cabin wind quite a bit!

I have a taller one and it makes a world of difference.
The wind noise and temperature are def impacted. Windows up screen up I can drive in bitter cold and the knock down on the wind means the heater can keep up.

After taking my tall one off, the difference is huge at highway speeds.
