Sounds like you had a very close call and am glad you came through without a scratch...I was driving on ice one day (in a '69 Galaxie 500 Fastback) way back when, when all of a sudden the whole car just shifted over into the oncoming lane facing the oncoming traffic (except, luckily, there was no oncoming traffic at the time). On ice, you have practically no control of the vehicle and are at the mercy of the slope of the road itself it seems. Bet your heartbeat jumped up a few ticks.
