Please post any suggestions for events or meets you would like to attend in the near future. I'd like to start a tentative calendar of events for those interested in the North Texas area.
How about an informal drive followed by lunch or dinner at a local restaurant before inclimate weather and holidays approach?
(finally got my car back and I'm ready to drive...)

I realize not everyone is, but if you are interested in Autocross, there are events at Pennington field in Bedford tomorrow and Nov 12. Not a real large site, but in town. Just off hwy 183 near 121 merge.

Are you planning to participate or just watch? I might come to watch, weather (no rain) permitting.

I know I keep refering to the Porsche club but.
They had a meet at a Sonic once.
If the weather is nice and we could get a Sonic to block off some spots...
I didn't go to the Porsche one but the people who did said it was fun.
Just imagine all those shinney S2k's all in a row.

I still want to do the tech thing at my house sometime.

I found some very scenic twisty roads that are a blast to drive (even at posted speeds) just west of Fort Worth. Over the next few days I'm hoping to find some a little closer to the mid-cities but so far the good ones are north and west.

Of Course. We would appreciate your company when we get something organized. I know that a few Austin folks have attended meets in the DFW area organized by the North Texas S2000 club. Some of us have expressed an interest in revving up the club again soon. While my S2K is in the shop and the rainy weather continues, I've been attempting to put together some small drives or events if others wish to participate. The weather outlook here remains bleak through next Monday with rain in the forcast this weekend. So far small group drives on our favorite twisties and a meet at Sonic or some restaurant top the list. A tech event and track day follow closely.
I've been watching the Austin postings on both boards lately and would be interested in driving with you guys as well although after work on Friday would be a stretch for me in DFW.

Thanks for setting this up. If this works out, I think we should see if there is any interest in a regular meeting, like maybe the second Friday of every month, or every other month. I would really like to continue to learn more about this great little car, and maybe get a group ride together.

This is the kind of activity I had in mind. Although my car has been in the shop more than out lately I'd really like to meet some other S2K owners before the holidays in the DFW area ( or even Austin).
I'm for a meet at a mid-cities location, or perhaps Grapevine, to have dinner and enjoy the company of other S2000 owners. We only have a couple weekends remaining before Thanksgiving.
Who is in for a local dinner (preferably at an indoor location since it has rained most weekends so far) and informal meet? This would be a good opportunity to discuss our favorite roads, likes and dislikes about our cars, and possibly plan future events. I am more than willing to coordinate some activities.
Please post here or feel free to e-mail me at svann@exhibitdynamics.com or
stefanvann@home.com

Hope to see you soon...
