Default Gingerman - Track time - August 23rd!

The Supra boys have rented G'man on the 23rd of this month. And they asked me to spread the word that it's happening. It'll be about 100 bucks...so get off it and be there!

Post here if you can make it.

Email accuron919@aol.com for payment info.

And check out www.gingermanraceway.com ... I swear, the S2000 was made for this course.

Greg - have any more details?

- What is considered a "day" there? As in, when would the fun be starting?
- Who is all going to be there aside from Supras and S2Ks?
- You're going for sure, I assume?

I need to get a helmet. And brake pads. And good brake fluid (I discovered how weak it was last weekend). Fun stuff

Price - $150, that includes lunch...what a bargain!

All I know is the Supra boys rented it and invited us. I don't know what other cars will be there...

Yea, I'm going...oh yea, G'man is my favorite haunt.

There will be three groups and each getting 2 hours of 4 30 minute sessions each.

And if it's like every other open track day there, by about 2-3pm, the groups more or less mesh and the sessions become less defined, meaning that you can get out there for a lot longer. This also depends on how many cars are out there.

Let me know if you are interested and I'll email you the address of the person organizing this, so you can send them your cash...

Driving starts at 9pm and I'm sure that there is a driver's meeting earlier. If you have never been there, go to the driver's meeting to learn the flags, a little about the course and their policies, etc...

Any more questions?!

When are you heading over there? It's only what, 90 minutes from chicago? I'd have to get there for the driver's meeting since I'm a rookie. Any of the other chicago groupies going?

I have sent out an email to all the folks in the midwest, we'll have some show, I'm sure, as we get closer to the event we'll know more...

G'man is 130 miles from Chicago. I'm probably heading down on the 22nd and spending the night in South Haven. It just works better than way.

Let me know what you wanna do...

Guesthouse Inn...

A "friend" of the G'man...and while in Chicago, visit the Gingerman Tavern at 3740 N. Clark. It's just a few blocks from my house. But don't expect to bang on my door drunk and ask for a place to crash...!

Yummmmm, GingerMan.

Did the "Supra" gals say if they would lower their price depending on the number of participants? If there are three groups at 30 minutes each (which is quite long) by 4 runs, that is only 6 hours. Where is the rest of that track time going? Those wusses!

Greg is right, I hope, and the afternoon usually clears up because people have spun and are now affraid, or they have blown their engine (you know Toyota quality) or they are simply ready to leave. This leaves more track time then we know what to do with.

Hopefully, I will be able to make it. GingerMan is truly a treat to the soul, the car but not the tires!

Brian.
