If I can't get my car registered....then it'll be a group to go. However, if I do get my car registered, then I will be showing, but would love for support from the Chicago S2000 gang and the VOTA racing gang.

Luder (or anyone else),

I'm sorta new to the whole 'scene' - what exactly goes on at a HIN event? Is it just a bunch of people showing off their rides? Or is it companies? Or what?

I'm curious, I have nothing going on this weekend and the 3 hour cruise might be worth it. It'd be cool to meet some of the Chitown S2K owners and talk stooks too.

Thanks.

Even better than Steets of Woodfield...go over to Irving Park Rd and Barrington Rd. McDonald's. Friday nights yields about 250 to 300 cars and bikes (muscle cars, classics, vintage, auto-xers, imports, crotch rockets, hogs, etc.). Saturday nights is more about the import and domestic race scene with less showing....about 100 cars.

The reason Streets of Woodfield scene is ok is because their security is crackin down on people hanging out over there. It was a decent hang out for the beginning of spring because only 15-20 cars showed up and they were all Team Ronin and Team City Limits cars and we were more of a mature mind set. Security let us stay because some of the Ronin members are friends with the security guys. Now alot of cars hanging out over there are all younger guys that leave rubber on the lots and try to race up and down the driving lanes in the parking lot.

This weekend may be a slow hang-out weekend, due to all the cars getting ready for HIN, but go the following weekend.
