I have been waiting for a Irvine group to get together. Personally I didn't want to start one because I just moved to CA a few months ago and I do not know the area to well yet. I am in whenever and wherever.

Thanks
Ben

Alright you guys, I've got my car, it's broken in, the sun's just coming out, I'm having a lot of fun even though I'm still supposed to be working.

Let me know when you guys are all gonna be around for a local meet, this weekend (March 3rd, 4th) is fine with me too, or whenever!

Good... sounds like we've got a few together, hopefully it will grow from here. I'm on for the 4th if everyone else is, just need to decide what time of day and where we're meeting.

I live across the street from UCI, just lemme know when and where! My car's at Weseloh Honda right now for the tranny grind, clutch disk, windows motor, spring installation/alignment, oil change, tire change, seat belt recall, and some insurance work but i should be getting it back this week so i can install my HKS exhaust this weekend and put my new rims on next week. So hopefully i'll have my car back by the time we all meet and some of the mods put on. If i get my car back before saturday, a meet on the 4th is fine for me, any suggestions on location?

For a place to meet, I'm not too far from UCI either. We could meet up in the parking lot near In-n-Out or something -- to me that seems appropriate, but I'm not sure if the parking lot will have enough room, what do you all think? Better ideas?

VTEC, I'll be going to Weseloh Honda tomorrow to pick up my refund check (for the money I put down on the car), and while I'm there I'm gonna ask about the staticky whirr sound I hear when letting the clutch slip. I'll look for your car while I'm there. :-) And when you get it installed, I would definitely love to see and hear the HKS exhaust in person since I'm interested in that particular one also.

I'm up for a meet. Sunday sounds like rain, unfortunately. Saturday will be better according to the weatherman. If not, maybe next week.

Hey 2X6spds! You up for a meet??

i got my car back today but it looks like i have to take it in tomorrow morning again!!! i broke the bolt threading while trying to take the stock exhaust off!!!! has anyone heard this happening to anyone? it looks like when i tried to take the bolts off, they didn't come out straight so i tried to force them back in and it just went!!! any help?!?! i'm just gonna take it back to Weseloh and see what i should do about it.

as for the tranny stuff. it's a 100x better than it was when i took it in! the clutch feels soooo much nicer, decel noise is a lot better and the gears seem to "click" nicer.

Ooh that sux about the broken bolt, are you able to drive with the exhaust possibly hanging loose?? Glad to hear about the 100x tranny feel though!

Hmm TSB's 54 and 55 are already included in model year 01's, correct? I never could get a straight answer yet...

I took the car into the dealer today and they retightened the remaining bolts, should hold until they get new threading for me. As for the 2001 S2Ks, i would assume they fixed the tranny's on them.
