You're absolutely right on red tape. That is South Charlotte Street. It is the main road to the hospitals from the North and East side of town. I have no idea how the Highlands Sports Car Club was able to get it closed down for such a long time. They must know (sleep with) someone at City Hall.
I wasn't at that autocross, but two of my co-workers were "celebrity" drivers. Look out for the Bele Chere Autocross '01. I'll be there on nearly bald S02's by then.

Maybe I'll make it over to. Would be a great excuse (like we'll need one) to get together again after the biggie in April. Seems like the festival was in late July. Would be great to have a big Stook contengent at the autocross. Anyway I guess we need to get thru April first
